Did the Watchtower depicted the World Trade Center
as a tool of Satan the devil?

About fourteen years after the World Trade Center complex was finished, the Watchtower may have included it as one of the key icons of "this evil system of things." The World Trade Center was destroyed by fanatical religious terrorists on Sept. 11, 2001. Even though the Watchtower magazine has a "disclaimer" for legal purposes, the artists use the buildings they see out of their window, disguise them a little for legal purposes, and just resketch them. Artist impressions are usually based on what they see in real life, and the similarities to me seem obvious. For example, almost all of the people sketched in the Watchtower and Awake! magazines are members of the Brooklyn Bethel family, and this is well-known among those who have lived there, like myself.  - Randy Watters

The Watchtower teaches that the resurrected "anointed ones" (their special group of 144,000 co-priest and kings with Jesus) will participate directly in the destruction of buildings such as the World Trade Center, as well as any other national image that stands in the way of Jehovah. (Another fundamentalist religion has beat them to the goal, however, since September 11th.) Notice the phrase from p. 53 of the Watchtower's Revelation book:

"Indeed a wonderful privilege! This authority that anointed conquerors receive at their resurrection is a sharing with Jesus in wielding the "iron rod" of destruction against the rebellious nations at Armageddon. At best, the nuclear firepower of those nations will sputter like a wet firecracker when Christ dashes his enemies to pieces as he would vessels of clay.-Psalm 2:8, 9; Revelation 16: 14,16; 19:11-13, 15."

The picture on page 52 is clear in showing that those who will destroy the buildings are the resurrected remnant of the 144,000, shown with crowns on the head and smashing instruments in their hands. If the World Trade Center was still in existence, every Jehovah's Witness would include it in the images of evil to be burned.

Jehovah's Witnesses are taught to be happy that the world's buildings, which they consider signs of Western opulence and greed, will be destroyed. They are currently going door-to-door with a special magazine with a picture of the World Trade Center burning to the ground. They are using it to point to their government as the answer, and teach that its representatives in Brooklyn, New York, will soon be in control. Where have we heard similar ideas? Only fundamentalist religious cults have actually been capable of carrying such a thing out, and the Watchtower believes it's representatives will act similarly. There is currently no actual listing of these "anointed" ones, who are mysteriously chosen to give up life as normal earthlings for a future as king-priests. They do not hope to live on the earth, so what happens on earth is of little or no concern to them.

Note also a comment from p. 53 (shown here) the same page regarding the fate of those who have allowed women to be equals and teach in their midst:

"In 1918 when Jesus came to Jehovah's temple for judgment, the vast majority of organizations claiming to be Christian were sullied by idolatry and spiritual immorality. (James 4:4) Some based their beliefs on the teachings of strong-minded women of the 19th century, such as Ellen White of the Seventh-Day Adventists and Mary Baker Eddy of the Christian Scientists, and more recently many women have been preaching from the pulpit. (Contrast 1 Timothy 2:11, 12.) Among the different forms of Catholicism, Mary is often honored ahead of God and Christ. Jesus did not so honor her. (John 2:4; 19:26) Could organizations that admit such unlawful female influence really be accepted as Christian?"

It seems that authoritarian fundamentalist religions have an aversion to granting power to women as well. It is not hard to discover that a few key men in power run such organizations, and at times use their power to terrorize their members and preach absolute doom on the rest of the world that does not share its view of the future.

Revelation, p. 248, revealing their contempt for the United Nations.

Key text of page 248 as seen above:

Ascending Out of the Abyss

The scarlet-colored wild beast did indeed climb out of the abyss. On June 26, 1945, with noisy fanfare in San Francisco, U.S.A., 50 nations voted to accept the Charter of the United Nations organization. This body was "to maintain international peace and security." There were many similarities between the League and the UN. The World Book Encyclopedia notes: "In some ways, the UN resembles the League of Nations, which was organized after World War I ... Many of the nations that founded the UN had also founded the League. Like the League, the UN was established to help keep peace between nations. The main organs of the UN are much like those of the League." The UN, then, is actually a revival of the scarlet-colored wild beast. Its membership of over 150 nations far exceeds that of the League's 63; it has also taken on broader responsibilities than its predecessor.
At first, great hopes were expressed for the UN. This was in fulfillment of the angel's words: "And when they see how the wild beast was, but is not, and yet will be present, those who dwell on the earth will wonder admiringly, but their names have not been written upon the scroll of life from the founding of the world." (Revelation 17:8b)  Earth's dwellers have admired this new colossus, operating from its imposing headquarters on New York's East River. But true peace and security have eluded the UN. In this diabolical nuclear age, world peace has been maintained only by the threat of "mutual assured destruction" -MAD, as it is abbreviated-and the arms race has continued to escalate astronomically. After almost 40 years of effort by the United Nations, its secretary-general, Javier Perez de Cuellar, lamented in 1985: "We are living in another age of fanatics, and we don't know what to do about it."

The UN does not have the answers. And why? Because the Giver of life to all mankind is not the UN's life-giver. Its life span will be short, for according to God's decree, "it is to go off into destruction." The UN's founders and admirers do not have their names recorded in God's scroll of life. How could sinful, mortal men, many of whom mock God's name, achieve through the UN what Jehovah God has declared he is about to accomplish, not by human means, but through the Kingdom of his Christ?-Daniel 7:27; Revelation 11:15.

The UN is actually a blasphemous counterfeit of God's Messianic Kingdom by his Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ-to whose princely rule there will be no end. (Isaiah 9: 6, 7) Even if the UN were to patch up some temporary peace, wars would soon erupt again. This is in the nature of sinful men. "Their names have not been written upon the scroll of life from the founding of the world."

Questions to ask Jehovah's Witnesses:

Do you believe that the "anointed" Witnesses of Jehovah will destroy the buildings of New York from heaven in the near future?

Would you do the same if Jehovah or the Bible instructed you to?

Was the destruction of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11th a sign to you that Jehovah is getting ready to destroy the earth's financial empires? Do you believe it is near?

When it happens, will any practicing Muslims, people of Christendom, Buddhists, or Hindus survive? (emphasize practicing members)

Would you vote in an election, or hold up a flag in pride of your country? Would you donate to any charity besides the Watchtower?

Would you take time out of your busy schedule to aid relief workers in times of tragedy like with Sept. 11th? How, or if not, why not?

Do you realize that the Watchtower was disassociated from the United Nations after being a secret U.N. non-governmental organization for ten years, until the U.N. was provided with proof of evidence that they are total hypocrites? Were you aware that on the one hand they were condemning the United Nations and other governmental organizations, while with the other hand supporting the U.N. with printing required propaganda in their favor? That is why they are no longer an NGO with the U.N. The "Beast" of Revelation has disassociated the Watchtower for hypocrisy, and the Watcher is guilty of GROSS APOSTASY. Who has disassociated themselves? Who are no longer Jehovah’s Witnesses? The answer is in Organized to Accomplish Our Ministry, p.151:

"Concerning those who renounced their Christian faith in his day, the apostle John wrote: ‘They went out from among us, but they were not of our sort; for if they had been of our sort they would have remained with us.’ (1 John 2:19) Also a person might renounce his place in the Christian congregation by his actions, such as by becoming part of a secular organization the objective of which is contrary to the Bible and hence, is under judgment by Jehovah God... So if a person who is a Christian chooses to join those who are disapproved by God, it would be fitting for the congregation to acknowledge by a brief announcement that he has disassociated himself and is no longer one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Such a person would be viewed in the same way as a disfellowshipped person."
