The Watchtower and the Third Reich - a cover up from the Watchtower




The August 22nd, 1995 issue of 'Awake!' magazine presented a special article marking the 50th anniversary of liberating the concentration camps in Europe during WWII. The article was entitled, "The Holocaust, Who Spoke Out?"

The Watchtower claims that they, virtually alone, opposed the Nazi state and its leader Adolph Hitler. The picture that the Watchtower paints is very one-sided and upon closer examination reveals a falsifying of the actual facts.

 

The 1934 Year Book published by the Watchtower contains, on pages 130-143, many interesting statements. Two examples follow:

"The greatest and most oppressive empire on earth is the Anglo-American empire. By that is meant the British Empire, of which the United States of America forms a part. It has been the commercial Jews of the British-American empire that have built up and carried on Big Business as a means of exploiting and oppressing the peoples of many nations."
"A careful examination of our books and literature will disclose the fact that the very high ideals held and promulgated by the present national government are set forth in and endorsed and strongly emphasized in our publications and show that Jehovah God will see to it that these high ideals in due time will be attained by all persons...we are the strongest supporters of such high ideals...Now, because it appears that Germany may soon be free from oppression and that the people may be lifted up, Satan, the great enemy puts forth his endeavors to destroy that benevolent work in this land."

As you can see the Watchtower is not only anti-semitic but it claimed to hold to the same ideals as the Nazi state.
